Premiership honours were shared in Rockhampton Cricket’s three junior divisions in the 2023/24 season.
Norths/Callide Dawson Composite won the Division 1 final against Rockhampton Grammar.
Coming in at number seven for the victors, Mason Solly scored a valuable 38 runs, which included five fours.
His teammate Alex Sternberg then starred with the ball, bagging 5/20 off 6.5 overs, finishing the season as the competition’s second highest wicket taker.
Rockhampton Brothers beat Callide Dawson to lift the Division 2 trophy, while Capricorn Coast were too good for Norths/Tigers Gold in Division 3.
With no grand final played in Division 4, it was Rockhampton Brothers who finished atop the ladder after 16 rounds of regular fixtures.
Rockhampton Cricket president Jason Wells said the standard of play across the board was impressive, with some “high-quality cricketers” coming to the fore.
“I think that every year we see young kids pushing their claim for rep honours and potentially playing in a higher grade, be it going from Division 3 to Division 2 or from Division 1 to senior cricket.
“We have some great talent and the simple formula remains - the harder the kids work, the better they become.”
