Rockhampton Grammar captain Jaiden Green will look to lead from the front in the Aaron Payne Cup clash with St Brendan's on Thursday.

Completions will be key for Rockhampton Grammar when they take on St Brendan’s College on Thursday, according to coach Grant Broadhurst.

The teams face off at 6pm Thursday in Round 4 of the Aaron Payne Cup, and you can catch the action live on this website.

The two schools will meet in the Cowboys Challenge at 5pm, with that game also livestreamed.

Grammar scored wins against Emmaus College and Shalom College in their opening games before being beaten by The Cathedral College in Round 3.

Broadhurst said his team was improving with every game in the Cup and were starting to hit their straps just as the Confraternity Carnival was cancelled late last month due to COVID.

“We started playing our best footy in that last game (at Confraternity) and I’m looking for the boys to build on that,” he said.

“Brendan’s are going to be very tough but in saying that, I think our boys are up for the challenge.

“The strength of this side is their willingness to improve. They keep stepping up in every game and that’s probably what I’m looking forward to most tomorrow.”

Broadhurst said captain Jaiden Green, who has been outstanding in this Cup campaign, would have a big role to play on Thursday.

Centre Luke Callanan and fullback Carter Wight, two other star performers, would also have a big influence on the outcome.

Broadhurst said Brendan’s line-up included a host of dangermen, including halfback Owen Pattie, fullback Matt Hill and wing Marley Wosomo.

“They’re a very good side and they’ve got strike right across the park,” he said.

“It’s a cliché, I know, but we’ve just got to worry about what we need to do.

“If our boys can all do their jobs, the result should take care of itself.”
