Lionel Harbin will coach the CQ Capras’ Intrust Super Cup team next year and he is excited to know Jack Madden will be there as captain.

Madden has signed on for what will be his sixth season as skipper.

Harbin said it was great to secure Madden’s services for season 2022.

“I think this year has been one of his best seasons yet, he’s been playing really well,” Harbin said.

“He brings a lot of experience to the squad at this level and I’m looking forward to having his leadership within the playing group.”

Madden said he was “very happy and grateful” to re-sign with the Capras.

“Although we’ve had a challenging year, I feel the club is heading in the right direction,” he said.

“I always wanted to be a part of this club moving forward, especially with Harbo coming on board as coach as I feel he can get us to where we want to be as a club.

“I can’t wait to work with him.”

Madden scored a try as the Capras scored their first win of the 2021 season against the Brisbane Tigers in Gladstone on Sunday.
