On Sunday (July 18) Burger Urge stores in Rockhampton are rewarding people who have already managed to snare a Covid jab, by giving away free burgers.

A total of 1000 burgers shared across 27 stores around the country will be up for grabs, so get in quick to get yours.

Burger Urge CEO, Shawn Kerr, said it was just the company’s way of giving ScoMo a hand with the vaccine rollout program and drawing attention to the bureaucratic deficiencies of Australia’s fight against Covid 19.

“This may be hard to believe, but some people are saying that the vaccine rollout in this country has been an absolute balls-up,” he said.

“”We only see one path forward and that’s with delicious burgers.”

Mr Kerr said, if you had successfully negotiated the maze to getting a Covid vaccination, then you deserved a reward.

“You’re either a master strategist or you can remember the first season of Hey, Hey It’s Saturday,” he said.

“Either way, we tip our hat to you.

“Just come into the Rockhampton restaurant, show your vaccination card and we’ll hook you up with a free Boston Cheeseburger.

“It’s first in, best dressed though, so you’ll need to be quick!”
