Rockhampton police were quick to track down a gas truck reported “leaking fluids” in Allenstown around 8.50am.
They tracked it across the ‘New Bridge’ to Yaamba Rd where police were able to speak with the driver.
They were relieved to learn the vapour, which is part of the truck’s normal exhaust function, is non-toxic and nonflammable.
The driver reported the truck “was doing what it was meant to do”.
