RACQ CapRescue called to Westwood, Rolleston incidents

It was a busy Easter Sunday for RACQ CapRescue as they responded to two different incidents in Central Queensland.

It was a busy Easter Sunday for the local helicopter rescue team, responding to two incidents during the day.

On Sunday morning, the RACQ CapRescue helicopter was called to Westwood where a man in his 70s was suffering severe respiratory distress at his home on a property.

He was flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The rescue crew was then called to Rolleston where a man in his 40s had fallen from the back of a ute.

The man fell about two metres and landed on a fence post chest first.

He suffered suspected multiple broken ribs.

He was also flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
