1.40pm A resident near the corner of Hallet and Peter Streets has "been spoken to about Council laws" after conducting a backyard burn.
Firies were called after reports of smoke in the area.
12.40pm: Fire and emergency services are responding to reports of smoke near the corner of Water and Mason Streets, Berserker.
They are investigating the possibility of a structure fire close to the hockey and cricket grounds.
