Traffic accident on the corner of Moores Creek Road and Yaamba Road, Rockhampton

Emergency services have responded to two accidents within minutes at Rockhampton. UPDATES.

Emergency services on the scene of an accident involving a cyclist and vehicle in Quay Street on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services have worked quickly to clear the scene of a multi-vehicle accident at Rockhampton’s busiest intersections.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said crews were called to the accident at the corner of Yaamba Rd and Moores Creek Rd about 10.20am.

It is understood police were initially directing traffic at the scene, which is next to the city’s major shopping centre.

Just minutes later, police and ambulance also responded to a traffic accident involving a cyclist and a vehicle in Quay Street.
