A Rockhampton man is to be sentenced for a spate of alleged armed robberies which police say began at McDonalds and ended with the serious assault of a police officer.

Teej Lloyd Williams has been accused of demanding money while armed with a knife from a McDonalds’ employee in Gracemere on June 15, 2023 about 5.40am.

The District Court in Rockhampton heard once Mr Williams received the money he fled in a 4WD.

Then, about 1pm, Mr Williams called for a taxi and allegedly threatened the driver and attempted to steal the vehicle.

Mr Williams is not being sentenced for this.

At 1.30pm, police allege he drove the 4WD to the United Petroleum on Lower Dawson Rd, Allenstown, and threatened staff with the knife.

When police arrived, Mr Williams allegedly threatened an officer with the knife before getting back in the 4WD and fleeing.

Mr Williams’ barrister Jordan Ahlstrand told the court on March 15 the matter was ready to proceed to sentence.

Judge Jeff Clarke adjourned Mr Williams’ matters to April 15 for another mention.

Mr Williams was remanded in custody.

He is charged with armed robbery, armed robbery with actual violence, attempted robbery and seriously assaulting a police officer.

Mr Williams has not entered a plea.
