Investigations ongoing after Rockhampton suspicious item deemed safe
Police have declared a suspicious item safe after closing part of Rockhampton for more than five hours, with investigations continuing into the discovery.
A suspicious item which closed closed down a busy intersection in Rockhampton has been deemed safe.
Police were called to the building in Kawana about 9.45am after the item was found on Monday, December 1.
The address of the building, at the intersection of Alexandra Street and Richardson Road, and surrounding area was blocked off.
The item was deemed safe and the area was reopened at 3pm,a Queensland Police Service spokesman said.
No threats were made and investigations remain ongoing, the QPS spokesman said.
