Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the alleged assault of a 70-year-old woman outside a Rockhampton shopping centre to come forward.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who witnessed the alleged assault of a 70-year-old woman outside Stockland Rockhampton Shopping Centre.

Police have alleged that about five men approached the woman in the car park of the Park Avenue shopping centre at 9.48am on Monday, October 28.

The men are accused of assaulting the woman, before stealing her handbag and driving away in a stolen white BMW.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated the woman’s injuries to her wrist and forehead.

Police are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage to come forward immediately.

Investigations are ongoing.
