A man is in hospital after he became trapped in his vehicle after colliding with a tree off a road north of Rockhampton.

A man is in hospital after he became trapped in his vehicle after colliding with a tree off a road north of Rockhampton.
Two Queensland Fire Department crews attended the accident that occurred about 8am at the corner of McNamara and Kunwarara Road at Canoona, according to a QFD spokesperson.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said after the man was extricated, they assessed him and found he had a number of lacerations.
He was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
