UPDATE, WEDNESDAY 8AM: A 48-year-old Allenstown woman has been charged following an alleged stabbing in Allenstown on Sunday afternoon.
Police were called to an address on Upper Dawson Rd about 3.20pm on November 1 to reports a 48-year-old man had allegedly been stabbed multiple times.
The man was transported to Rockhampton Hospital for emergency surgery.
The woman was charged with one count of wounding (domestic violence).
She is due to appear in Rockhampton Magistrate Court today.
UPDATE, TUESDAY 11AM: Charges are yet to be laid over an alleged stabbing at Allenstown which took place at the weekend.
A QPS spokesman this morning confirmed police enquiries were still underway at this time.
However, police yesterday revealed a 48-year-old woman was assisting with the investigation.
The male victim was rushed to Rockhampton Hospital late Sunday afternoon after he was allegedly stabbed multiple times.
QPS are expected to provide a condition update on the man later today.
INITIAL: A man is suffering from critical injuries after he was allegedly stabbed multiple times at a home in Allenstown yesterday afternoon.
The alleged incident occurred at a private residence on Upper Dawson Rd at 3pm.
Detective Senior Sergeant Luke Peachey said the victim was transported to Rockhampton Hospital where he underwent surgery and remained in a critical but stable condition.
Detective Senior Sergeant Peachey said police were being assisted by a 48-year-old female, but no charges had been laid.
"We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident," he said.
