A man charged with allegedly being the driver in a crash which caused the death of a Rockhampton woman in 2020 has had his matters mentioned in court.
Lachlan Finlay Carr, 27, is charged with three offences including dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death or grievous bodily harm and leaving the scene without obtaining help, failing to remain at the scene of an incident and rendering assistance and failing to comply with the duties of a driver involved in a crash.
Mr Carr’s matters were mentioned in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.
In documents viewed by this publication, it is alleged that on May 28, 2020 Mr Carr dangerously drove a car on Yaamba Rd at Parkhurst which caused the death of 65-year-old local mother Kristine Anderson.
It is further alleged Mr Carr failed to remain at the scene and render assistance and also provide particulars to another driver involved.
The charges also allege Carr left the scene other than to render assistance before a police officer arrived on scene.
Mr Carr’s matter was adjourned to be mentioned again in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on November 14.
The dangerous operation of a vehicle charge has been committed to the District Court.
