In 2023, police alleged they found meth during a raid and ultimately charged a Rockhampton mother of six for possession and several other drug-related offences.

Ten months later and that mum, Kristy Lee Iles, is in court, soon to find herself in the Rockhampton’s Supreme Court.

Ms Iles appeared in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on June 3 charged with six offences, to be handed up to the Supreme Court.

She was charged with one count of possessing meth, possessing marijuana, possessing digital scales and clip seal bags, possessing a glass pipe used to smoke a dangerous drug, possessing jewellery suspected of being tainted property, and contravening a police order.

The quantity of meth exceeded schedule 3 (2g) but was less than schedule 4 (200g).

The court heard all charges arose out of the police search in Rockhampton on August 23, 2023.

Magistrate Grace Kahlert ordered the charges be handed up to the Supreme Court in Rockhampton, with a mention date to be notified by the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Ms Iles, who was represented by solicitor Brendan Gimbert, did not wish to say anything when given the opportunity to speak and did not enter a plea.

Ms Kahlert granted Ms Iles bail on the charges.
