The road is blocked between Bolsover and Alma streets after a red Holden Commodore accidentally ploughed into a row of parked cars in the busy afternoon traffic.
The accident occurred about 4.15pm with four parked cars impacted by the Commodore crashing into three of them - the fourth had one of the other parked cars move into it as a result of the crash.
Firefighters have used machinery to cut the Commodore to get the male driver out as a paramedic sat in the passenger seat looking him over.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said two fire crews arrived just about 4.20pm to attend the crash.
The male driver of the Commodore was out of the vehicle by 4.40pm.
More to come.
