Firefighters cut roof off Nissan Patrol to free a man after Kabra accident

Firefighters have rescued a man in his 30s after he became trapped in his Nissan Patrol ute outside Rockhampton, blocking the road.

Emergency services have rushed to the scene of a traffic crash in Kabra, 20 minutes south-west of Rockhampton, where the ute of a man in his 30s rolled.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said emergency services attended the accident on Monday morning.

“Around 10.50am, a Nissan Patrol was travelling on Meteor Park Rd when it crashed and rolled, entrapping the driver and sole occupant, a man in his 30s,” he said.

“The road is currently blocked while emergency services attend the scene.”


A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man was experiencing chest discomfort after the incident and was transported to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said three crews attended the rollover.
Firefighters used cutting tools to remove the roof of the ute and free the man from the ute at 11.25am.
