Emu Park man drowns at boat ramp on Capricorn Coast

A man has drowned while trying to retrieve his boat at the Capricorn Coast overnight.

A man has drowned while trying to retrieve his boat at the Capricorn Coast overnight.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said police were called to help search for the man about 2.20am this morning after he went to retrieve his boat at the Emu Park boat ramp at Fisherman’s Landing about 1am.

He said the 66-year-old Emu Park man’s body was located sometime this morning.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said police called QAS at 4.15am.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
