Concrete truck rollover at Capricorn Highway, Westwood

Emergency services raced to the scene of a concrete truck rollover that closed one lane of the Capricorn Highway, south-west of Rockhampton.

A concrete truck rollover has forced the closure of one lane of the Capricorn Highway at Westwood, 40 minutes south-west of Rockhampton, about 2pm.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said the cement truck rolled off the road on Thursday, September 26.

He said police were currently directing traffic while waiting for towies.

The spokesman said there were no entrapments.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the 50-year-old male driver did not receive any injuries and has declined further assistance from paramedics.
