Park Avenue Post Office broken into at 4.30am

Australia Post is working with affected customers after two thieves broke into the property at 4.30am on Sunday morning.

The Park Avenue Post Office was broken into early on Sunday morning with two alleged offenders smashing the glass front door to gain entry.

Police have confirmed that two people, possibly male, forced their way inside the store on Main Street around 4.30am.

Australia Post have confirmed the front doors were damaged and a small amount of mail was stolen.

Repairs are underway and affected customers are being contacted.

Investigations are continuing and the post office is operating as usual.
