Over 200 new CQ Covid cases today
Here is Thursday’s breakdown of Covid cases and where they were located.
Covid cases in Central Queensland continue to rise with more than 200 new confirmed cases in the region as of January 20.
Member for Gladstone Glenn Butcher confirmed there were 241 reported Covid cases in Central Queensland in the past 24 hours.
Of these, 85 were from Rockhampton, 41 in Gladstone, 55 in Livingstone, 47 in Central Highlands, 11 in Banana Shire and two from elsewhere.
As of 8am Thursday, there were eight Covid patients in the Rockhampton Hospital, all in stable conditions.
There were only four cases reported in the Central West over the past 24 hours, according to CWHHS.
This leaves 54 active cases in the region, including two in Alpha, three in Barcaldine, 14 in Blackall, one in Boulia, 32 in Longreach and two in Winton.
No deaths have been recorded in Central Queensland at this stage.
