A car wash featuring a mural on the wall has been proposed to be developed off Tanby Road on Yeppoon’s outskirts.
The car wash, lodged with Livingstone Shire Council by Capricorn and Engineering Drafting Services, is to be located at 2-4 Wattle Street.
The development application is for a development permit for a car wash which would include three vacuum bays, three manual wash bays, two automatic wash bays and twin style dog wash.
The facility has been designed with space for five to six vehicles to queue behind the bays.
The proposed development also includes a storage room and staff bathroom to be accessed from the rear.
There would be no staff based permanently on site.
Entry would be via Wattle Street with traffic directed to exit onto Tanby Road.
The application plans state there would be a themed street mural on the wall, to be planned in conjunction with council.
Council officers are assessing the application.
