More Covid cases have been reported as the statistics for Central Queensland deaths has jumped on February 4.

The total number of Covid-positive deaths in Central Queensland has sadly jumped to four since the beginning of the pandemic, according to the Queensland Government’s Covid statistics.

The Morning Bulletin can reveal that the patients included one person in their 70s and one in their 80s, both fully vaccinated with underlying health conditions.

According to CQ Health, there have been 223 new PCR positives in the past 24 hours.

Of these, 91 are from Rockhampton, 29 from Gladstone, 47 from Livingstone, 40 from Central Highlands, 15 from the Banana Shire and one from elsewhere.

There have been 91 self-reported RAT positives in the past 24 hours.

As of 8am today, there were 16 Covid patients in the Rockhampton hospital, all in a stable condition.

One patient is in a serious condition in the Gladstone Hospital.

Four new cases have been recorded in the Central West, bringing the total number of active cases to 54.

Of these, five are in Alpha, three in Aramac, two in Barcaldine, one in Blackall, one in Jundah, 21 in Longreach, three in Tambo, five in Windorah and 13 in Winton.
