The ‘Hair’ and ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ star is in the region after performing a concert at Pilbeam Theatre on Saturday night.

The Riverston Tea Rooms on Quay St in Rockhampton City hosted Ms Hines during her whirlwind stop-over, much to their excitement.

The 71-year-old singer has a career stretching over fifty years including a stint as Australia’s best-selling local artist in 1977 and 1978.
Ms Hines is linked to the two young stars from her time as a judge on Australian Idol; keeping an eye on the artists throughout their experiences on the popular show where they progressed to the grand finals.

Rockhampton sweetheart and popular country crooner, Denvah made it to the top three.

While charming camel farmer Trent made it to the top six.

The pair struck up a close friendship on the show.
Ms Hines is on her national tour until the end of November.
