The case against a 23-year-old alleged shooter, whose co-accused has been charged with attempted murder from a series of incidents in February and March, is still waiting on two key pieces of evidence.

Thomas Craig Grundy, 23, was charged with multiple offences from the Peter Street, Berserker, shootings in February and March when he was arrested on March 6.

His co-accused in the shootings is fellow roofer Zac Anthony Warren-Rourke, 22.

The tradesmen are accused of carrying out two shootings where one man sustained a gunshot wound to an arm as he fled for cover in the first incident, and the other man was shot in the leg in the second.

Mr Grundy was charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and threatening violence by discharge firearm or other act along with two counts of enter dwelling and commit.

Mr Warren-Rourke of Koongal has been charged with one count each of attempted murder and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, along with two counts of enter dwelling and commit.

The charges were laid following police investigations into two separate shootings and two robberies at a property in Peter St, Rockhampton between February 21 and March 6.

Mr Grundy’s charges were mentioned again in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Wednesday where the court heard police prosecutors were still waiting on a certificate of analysis for the drugs Mr Grundy is accused of possessing.

His lawyer, Jess King, advised the case was otherwise ready for a full hand up, which is usually done at a committal hearing.

Committal hearings take place before a magistrate to determine if the evidence is strong enough against the accused for the case to be sent up to either the district or supreme court.

Mr Grundy’s charges were adjourned until February 14 as the outstanding certificate expected to be ready by then.

Court documents viewed by The Morning Bulletin stated when police arrested Mr Grundy on March 6, after spotting him on Musgrave St near a car wash and he attempted to run, he was found possessing about 23 grams of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, police will allege Mr Grundy lived at the Peter St property in the lead-up to the alleged offences but had moved out since.

Neither Mr Warren-Rourke or Mr Grundy have entered any pleas.

Mr Warren-Rourke’s charges have been adjourned to January 28.
