Police will prepare a report for the coroner after a 19-year-old woman was killed in a buggy crash at a private property north of Rockhampton.

Paramedics and firefighters attended the scene at Canoona, 50km north of the city, about 1.57am.

The girl was assessed for life-threatening injuries and CPR was attempted but sadly, she died at the scene.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police would prepare a report for the coroner following the sudden and non-suspicious death of the young woman.

The tragedy came less than 24 hours after another crash at Canoona.

Scott Cassidy died after his vehicle veered off the Bruce Highway and crashed into a tree on Friday morning.

The forensic crash unit is investigating.

Initial investigations show that at about 6.20am, a ute was travelling along the Bruce Highway (Kunwarara Road) between Atkinson Road and Old Canoona Road when it left the road and crashed.

Mr Cassidy, 50, was declared dead at the scene.
