Gladstone police investigate suspicious fires at Burua, Calliope
Gladstone police are appealing to the public for information to find those responsible for grass fires they believe were deliberately lit.

Gladstone detectives are appealing for help as they investigate a number of suspicious grass fires across the region.
Between April and May this year a large number of grass fires were reported around Kirkwood Rd and Don Young Drive in Gladstone, the Dawson Highway at Burua, the Bruce Highway at Calliope and Gladstone Mount Larcom Rd at Yarwun.
Police suspect the fires were deliberately lit.
A grass fire near a property on the Dawson Highway at Burua had spread and damaged heavy machinery on site.
No one was injured as a result of the fires.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or may have footage that could help with investigations to contact them using reference QP2300725854.
