Woman suffers facial injuries in car crash on Olive Vale Road, Comet

A woman has been taken to hospital after the car she was driving smashed into a tree on a Central Queensland road.

A woman has been taken to hospital after a car crashed into a tree in Central Queensland on Saturday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said QAS was notified at 12.25pm of an incident on Olive Vale Road at Comet near Emerald.

Other emergency services crews were also called to attend.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said a female driver was the only occupant and she was out of the vehicle when police arrived at the scene.

The QAS spokeswoman said the woman sustained facial injuries and was suffering chest pain, and she was taken to Emerald Hospital in a stable condition.
