One person taken to hospital after Burnett Highway, Bouldercombe crash

Police have opened the Burnett Highway after a person was taken to hospital following a single vehicle crash. UPDATES

The Burnett Highway at Bouldercombe has been opened in Central Queensland after a single-vehicle crash which saw at least one person injured.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the highway opened almost five hours after the accident, at 8pm.

He said at the time it had fluid on the road.

The spokesman said one person was taken to hospital, but could not say whether anyone else was injured.

Crews were called to the incident on the Burnett Highway about 3.17pm.

At 3.30pm, a spokeswoman for Queensland Ambulance Service said paramedics had arrived on scene, where it was understood one male patient was injured.

A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said they had three crews heading to the incident as of 3.30pm.
