CQ sales: Parkhurst Tavern and Porky’s Motel sell, Ginger Mule for sale
A popular pub has sold in the millions and another former bar is on the market, the latest commercial update for Rockhampton reveals.

A Rockhampton pub has sold with a price tag in the millions while another motel passed hands and a bar is up for sale.
The Parkhurst Tavern, which includes a bottle shop, settled last month to Parkhurst Tavern Holdings.
The company is registered to a Wagga Wagga address in New South Wales.
It is understood the company directors are also in the process of buying the Gracemere Hotel.
Over on southside, the Porky’s Motel on the highway strip coming into Rockhampton from the south sold in May.
The 10-unit motel with a four-bedroom bedroom manager’s residence at 141 George St sold for $900,000 through Mark Molloy of Professionals Livingston & Molloy Real Estate.
The property had last sold for $735,000 in 2008.
It comes as construction is expected to start just a few metres down the road, on the corner of George St and Fitzroy St, for a drive-through Guzman Y Gomez and Banjo’s Bakery (the former Project Mex site).
Meanwhile, an iconic building in the Rockhampton CBD has been placed on the market.
The T & G building, best known as the Ginger Mule building, at 8 William St is open for offers to purchase through former Rockhampton Jockey Club CEO Tony Fenlon, who has recently taken up a career in real estate with Knight Frank Rockhampton.
The building is located on 711 sqm and is three floors high with balconies and roof top areas and a tower rising above.
It currently consists of four separate tenancy spaces.
The popular bar Ginger Mule closed in 2020 due to the pandemic.
It was constructed in 1876 and is not heritage listed.
It last sold in 2010 for $1.55 million and the first recorded sale online was in 1992 for $380,000.
