Covid patient on ventilator in Rockhampton Hospital

One person is fighting for life in the ICU while a number of other people have tested positive for Covid.

One Covid-positive person is on a ventilator in an intensive care unit as more Covid cases are reported across the region, according to CQ Health on February 14.

In the past 24 hours, there has been a total of 161 positive cases reported in Central Queensland.

Of these, 54 were PCRs and 107 were self-reported RATs.

In Rockhampton, there were 39 positive PCRs, one in Gladstone, 11 in Livingstone and three in Central Highlands.

As of 8am Monday, there were 12 patients in the Rockhampton Hospital Covid ward, one of who is ventilated in ICU and the others are in stable conditions.

The total death count across Central Queensland since the beginning of the pandemic stands at seven.

There are currently 41 active cases in the Central West.

Of these, one is from Alpha, 21 from Barcaldine, two from Blackall, one from Boulia and 16 from Longreach.
