From cool cars to one of the biggest campdrafting events in the country, here’s what’s happening around Central Queensland this Easter weekend.

Central Queensland will be bustling with activity this weekend with events galore to get the family out and about.

Rockhampton
Rockynats
Engines will be revving around Rockhampton during the Easter long weekend for the high octane Rockynats event.
The event will kick off on Friday with a range of events for car lovers and spectators including a street parade, a Rockabilly and Pin-up competition, burnout competitions and live music.
The fun will continue on Saturday with a Mulletfest competition, more burnouts and drag racing.
Rockynats will finish on Sunday afternoon after another day jam-packed with burnouts, street drags and a myriad of displays.

Paradise Lagoons Campdraft
Thousands of spectators and competitors will make the trek to Paradise Lagoons for the annual campdraft, celebrating 20 years of the event.
The event sees competitors from all over the country compete for their slice of the $145,000 in prize money and trophies.
This year’s event has so many competitors organisers added an extra day to the event, with the competition and trade fair kicking off on Wednesday instead of Thursday.
There will be plenty of campdrafting action across the weekend, with the State of Origin draft rounding out the event on Saturday night.

PBR Rockhampton Invitational
Some of the best bull riders in the country will put their skills to the test when the PBR kicks off at the Great Western Hotel on Saturday night.
The event is part of the Monster Energy Tour and with bull riding expected to start at 7pm.

Bavarian's Golden Ticket Schnitzels
This Easter long weekend the Bavarian will tap into its own culinary traditions giving diners the opportunity to win a year’s supply of schnitzels with the release of Willy Wonka style golden tickets.
To be in the running diners must order a limited-edition schnitzel platter which will be available between April 15 and 18.
The platter includes a range of chicken, veal and pork schnitzels, house-baked pretzels, and other sides including potato salad, mashed potato, red cabbage and sauerkraut.
There will be three Golden Tickets up for grabs across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia the ACT and New Zealand.
Winners will be announced on April 19.
Yeppoon and Emu Park
Park, Pizza, Play - Yeppoon
Easter school holidays activities will continue in the Livingstone Shire through the week, including the Park, Pizza, Play day on Thursday.
Families can head along to Beaman Park between 11am and 1pm for board games and free pizza at the park.
There will also be a session for children over 13 from 6pm.

Tides and Tunes - Yeppoon
Tides and Tunes will be back at the Yeppoon Foreshore on both Friday and Saturday between 5pm and 7pm.
The event is free with attendees encouraged to take a picnic to enjoy and support local acts.
Will Lutton and Co will play on Friday night with Aaron Hamilton taking the stage on Saturday.
Emu Park Markets
The Emu Park Markets will be held this Easter Sunday at Bell Park from 8am until midday.
The markets have more than 100 stalls of goodies of all kinds created or grown by locals in the region.
All proceeds from stall bookings go back to the community.

Gladstone
Easter in Gladstone
There will be plenty to see and do across the Easter weekend in Gladstone with festivities galore.
Thursday will see the grand opening of the B2G Village with the official opening including ceremonial dancing, food stalls, and live music.
Thursday will also see the Gladstone Harbour Festival officially kick off for 2022 with a stack of free entertainment, rides, free activities for kids and even fireworks displays.
On Friday there will be a Yatchman’s Long Lunch in the B2G Village with a three course seafood meal with waterviews, the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race will also kick off on Friday. Bookings for the long lunch are essential.
The fun will continue on Saturday with the Seafood Festival at the B2G village showcasing local seafood, displays and live music.

Central Highlands
Central Highlands Easter Sunflower Festival
The Central Highlands Easter Sunflower Festival is underway, celebrating 46 years since the event began.
The event started last weekend with a few ticketed events which included a high tea, and will conclude on the Easter weekend with a family fun day, parade, races and a rodeo.
There will also be events in the lead up to this weekend’s festivities including a church service on Friday.
