A fresh ranking system, which scores childcare centres out of 10, has been performed through Central Queensland with 70+ facilities given a result based on parent feedback and government audits. Now, the best and worst centres can be revealed. Full list:

Childcare centres provide a critical service to society in the 21st century, especially in Central Queensland where shift work and indifferent hours are prominent.
For parents, the comfort of knowing your child is in the best care possible makes leaving them in the care of trained professionals that little bit easier.
If only there was a way parents could have peace of mind when determining if a childcare centre was the right fit for their child and if it met industry standards or not. What if we told you there was?
The KindiCare Rating is a unique rating developed by KindiCare to enable parents and guardians, childcare providers, childcare educators and directors and government to compare the quality of childcare services provided in Australia.
The KindiCare Rating is a number between NR (Not Rated) and 10 that provides an indication of the relative quality, performance and customer satisfaction of an individual childcare centre or service compared to all the childcare centres and services in the market.
The quality of childcare centres and services in Australia is generally high with the majority of services meeting or exceeding government standards.
When you see a KindiCare Rating, the higher the number, the better the centre or service.
The following can be used as a guide to help you in interpreting what a good rating is based on the KindiCare Rating for a centre or service:
- 9.0 and above: Excellent.
- 8.5 – 9.0: Very Good
- 7.5 – 8.5: Good
- 5.0 – 7.5: Fair
- 5.0 and below: Poor
- NR: Not Rated
An impressive 29 Central Queensland childcare centres are graded higher than ‘Good’ exceeding NQS standards, 14 of those are excellent.
One of the centres which ranked as excellent, as of January 18, 2022, was Trinity College Gladstone’s kindy program.
Trinity College’s experienced principal Stephen Babbage said he was chuffed with the fact his College’s kindergarten program was an industry leader in Central Queensland.
“I am delighted to receive recognition of our program’s excellence through KindiCare,” Mr Babbage said.
“Trinity College Gladstone is passionate about delivering high quality whole-of-life education from Kindergarten right through to Year 12.
“This award could not come at a better time for us as we are planning to expand our service this year.
“The hard work and care of our Early Childhood team is demonstrated in this rating.”
