SINCE opening their doors in November 2015, Korte's Resort has prospered in leaps and bounds.

Currently taking the number 2 position on the popular travel website "TripAdvistor” and holding it for more than a year, the 54-room boutique resort has put Central Queensland on the map.

The resort came to fruition after founder Bill Korte saw a demand for affordable quality accommodation in the region.

General Manager Brad Korte said the parcel of land was purchased in the North Rockhampton grow corridor with plans quickly following.

"As a locals to the area, we could see the area needed this type of business,” he said.

"The business is an extension of the Korte Family hospitality with repeat customers feeling like family and strangers being welcomed before leaving as friends.

"This is true in all areas of our business from the core accommodation, to the Oasis Restaurant and the newly completed conference centre.

Now celebrating their second year, Brad and the Korte's team are looking to the future, with a shift in focus towards integration and connectivity with their customers.

"We are looking to be able to connect with potential travellers and customers either via an app or over the web,” Brad explained.

"We are always exploring the latest technology and evaluating the potential benefit to the business.

"This is very true for the newly completed conference centre - a complete integrated AV and lighting system allows for a seamless operation each and every time for clients.”

In the past two years, Korte's has created a unique and popular accommodation sector for locals and travellers from outside the region.

Brad boasted their point of difference was the 'extra quality' they offered including pillow top beds (found in five-star resorts in Melbourne and Sydney), large televisions and seamless WIFI.

"The other very important component is our friendly service,” Brad added.

"This attitude and unison flows through the staff creating an enjoyable atmosphere for our customers.

"From all of us at Kortes Resort, we would like to thank all our valued customers for supporting us throughout the last two years and look forward to many more.
