Two teenage boys have been charged following an alleged robbery at Rockhampton’s Victoria Tavern last week.
Police will allege the two boys entered the bottle shop on Musgrave St about 7pm on January 17.
The pair allegedly took several bottles of liquor and attempted to leave without paying.
Police will further allege one of the teens hit the attendant over the head with one of the bottles before leaving on foot.
A Queensland Ambulance service spokesperson said the 34-year-old male attendant looked like he was okay and didn’t need to be transported to hospital and didn’t suffer any serious injuries.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with robbery, stealing and contravene direction and was refused bail to reappear in Rockhampton Children’s Court in March.
A 17-year-old boy was charged with two counts of stealing and is due to appear in Rockhampton Children’s Court next month.
