Wildest Aussie dashcam accidents

A 45-year-old Brighton man has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after a horror three-vehicle crash in Nundah, in Brisbane's north.

Emergency crews were called to Southern Cross Way’s East West Arterial Road on-ramp about 8.30pm following reports of a rolled car just before the Shulz Canal overpass.

An ambulance spokeswoman confirmed one of four people in the car was seriously injured.

“Thankfully the other three only sustained minor injuries,” she said.

“The rest were quite lucky.”

Police believe a white 2002 Toyata landcruiser was travelling northbound along Southern Cross Way when it left the road and hit a concrete barrier.

The impact forced the landcruiser back on to the road and into the path of a 2009 Nissan navarra ute, which was travelling north on the Southern Cross Way on-ramp.

The navarra then hit a Silver 2019 Lexus Ux250h wagon, which had been travelling behind it.

The people in the Lexus and the Nissan gave first aid to the driver of the landcruiser before he was rushed to hospital.

Forensic Crash Unit investigators are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash or the moments leading up to it to come forward.

The crash closed Southern Cross Way for several hours, with the road reopened just before 1am.
