ANNASTACIA Palaszczuk insists her regional MPs will not be turfed from office at the looming state poll amid community anger over the handling of Adani.
The Courier-Mail yesterday revealed multiple MPs including Mackay’s Julieanne Gilbert and Rockhampton’s Barry O’Rourke used Monday’s caucus meeting to air fears they would be voted out over the saga of the Galilee Basin mine.
They revealed sentiment was so bad they were being abused at pre-poll had been asked by the Federal Herbert campaign to stay away from booths on Saturday.
Their calls sparked an emergency meeting with the Premier yesterday where she said resources issues were discussed among a range if issues including the looming Budget.
“I am not concerned at all because there is a big difference between a Federal Election or a State Election,” Ms Palaszczuk said.
She refused to comment further on the caucus revelations.
