MAVERICK Labor MP Jo-Ann Miller has lashed her colleagues for leaking details of the dressing-down she was given by a group of MPs at last month’s caucus retreat.
It wasrevealed last month that a group of MPs used an open forum session on the first day of the two-day retreat to take aim at Mrs Miller for her embrace of One Nation matriarch Pauline Hanson and her gift of baby booties to Ms Hanson in the dying days of the November election campaign.
The Courier-Mail can further reveal Mrs Miller rose behind closed doors in Labor’s pre-Budget caucus meeting yesterday afternoon to call for action to be taken against those who leaked the details of the dressing-down.
She defended her actions during the election, detailing her gift of booties to three Labor MPs on the birth of their children – Minister Mark Ryan, Government whip Don Brown and assistant Minister Brittany Lauga.
It is understood that Mrs Miller described the dressing-down that took place at the retreat as orchestrated.
She was met with silence from her caucus colleagues.
Mrs Miller was contacted for comment, but declined, saying she would not breach caucus confidentiality.
