A CFMEU official allegedly barked like a dog at a female health and safety consultant on a Brisbane construction site as part of an expletive-ridden tirade, a court has been told.

The alleged offensive took place at a Rawcorp construction site on Marine Parade, Labrador, on April 30.

It comes in the same week Parliament passed laws which could allow the mining and energy division of the CFMEU to split from the union, amid a civil war within the organisation.

Construction industry watchdog the Australian Building and Construction Commission is claiming two union officials, Andrew Blakeley and Luke Gibson walked on to the construction site to inspect a suspected contravention of the workplace health and safety act, before physically blocking concrete trucks from delivering their load.

It is alleged in the statement of claim Mr Gibson told the concrete truck drivers, “come, f**kng hit me. I want you to hit me”.

When police arrived at the construction site, Mr Gibson is alleged to have directed obscene and derogatory abuse at female health and safety consultant.

“Go on, off you go, you f**king dog c**t, go get your police,” he is alleged to have said.

It is claimed he then “made a sound like a dog barking” before again using the same explicit language at her again.

Mr Gibson and Mr Blakeley left the site when the police arrived about 11.30am.

The ABCC are alleging two CFMEU officials breached the Fair Work Act by intentionally hindering and obstructing people on site, as well as acting in an improper manner within the purposes of the FW Act.

The maximum penalty for the union is $63,000 for each offence, as well as $12,600 for an individual.

The ABCC is also seeking personal payment orders against the two officials.

The CFMEU has been contacted for comment.
