Queensland bushfires: Full list of bushfire warnings

Overnight warnings have been downgraded to “stay informed” at a number of major fires in the state’s southeast. More than a dozen major fires continue to burn. SEE THE LATEST WARNINGS

Bushfire burns on the Gold Coast Hinterland

The Binna Burra, Stanthorpe and Applethorpe communities have all seen dangerous bushfires burning near the townships downgraded overnight following earlier warnings to leave their properties.

At least 13 homes have been destroyed.

As of 6am on Monday, the following warnings had been issued:

Bushfires continue to devastate QLD and NSW

STAY INFORMED: Binna Burra

At 1am, Monday 9 September, a bushfire is burning on both sides of Binna Burra Road, south of Summerville Road.

People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

STAY INFORMED: Linville

A bushfire is burning to the west of George St, Linville. This fire is now contained, and crews will continue to strengthen containment lines.

STAY INFORMED: Applethorpe / Stanthorpe

a bushfire is burning within containment lines in the Stanthorpe and Applethorpe area. Firefighters continue to strengthen containment lines with efforts focused on Ellwood Road, Kelly Road, Allen Lane and into the Broadwater State Forest. Crews will continue to consolidate containment lines throughout the entire burn area overnight. Local residents may see an increase in smoke as a result. Crews continue to conduct ongoing patrols to the west of the New England Highway, including at Plant Lane, McGrath Lane, Caves Road, Amiens Road and in the general areas around Happy Valley and Stanthorpe.

STAY INFORMED: Sarabah

A bushfire is burning near Lamington National Park Road and Tabletop Road. This fire is travelling in an easterly direction towards Lamington National Park and Binna Burra. The fire is currently impacting Lamington National Park and Binna Burra.

STAY INFORMED: Numbinbah Valley

At 4.30pm Sunday 8 September, a bushfire is burning near Binna Burra Road, Binna Burra, travelling in an easterly direction towards Numinbah Valley. This bushfire warning encompasses warnings previously known as “Springbrook” and “Numinbah Valley”. Fire crews and aircraft will be working in the area throughout the day in an effort to contain the fire. People in the area will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

STAY INFORMED: Irvinebank

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a fire burning in the vicinity of Herberton-Petford Road, Poison Creek (Mt Albion Station), Irvinebank. There is no threat to property at this time.

STAY INFORMED: Goodger

A fire is burning near Kingaroy Cooyar Rd and Old Taabinga Rd, Goodger. Firefighters are working with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service Crews (QPWS) to strengthen containment lines.

STAY INFORMED: Noosa

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) crews are on scene at a bushfire burning near Eenie Creek Road, Links Drive and Noosa Springs Drive, Noosa. The fire has been contained and there is no threat to property at this time.

STAY INFORMED: Dimbulah

A bushfire is burning in the vicinity of Hanley Rd and Veness Rd, Dimbulah. Ground and aerial firefighting activities will be undertaken today. There is no threat to property at this time.

STAY INFORMED: Mareeba

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is aware of a vegetation fire burning near Tinaroo Creek Road and Emerald Falls Road, Mareeba. The fire is burning in an inaccessible area and there is no threat to property at this time.

STAY INFORMED: Cedar Creek/Samford

A bushfire is burning in the vicinity of Belinda Place and Mayfield Road, north-west of Samford. People in the area, including residents in Yugar, Samford and Closeburn, will be affected by smoke, which will reduce visibility and air quality.

STAY INFORMED: Kaban

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) will continue to monitor a vegetation fire burning near Kaban Road and Tumoulin Road, Kaban. There is no threat to property at this time. Smoke may affect Tumoulin Road and nearby residents.
