Queensland and NT shark attack map: Every significant incident plotted

There have been three fatalities this year and, historically, Queensland has been a hot spot for shark attacks. Less so in the Northern Territory, but it is not immune. Check out our INTERACTIVE ATTACK MAP.

Bite Club was set up by Dave Pearson after he was attacked by a shark at Crowdy Head in 2011

It has been a horror year in the waters of Queensland. Three people have died due to shark attacks.

The most recent was Nick Slater in September, the first to die from a fatal attack on a Gold Coast beach in decades.

On Fraser Island in July, Matthew Tratt was killed while spearfishing and on North West Island, near Gladstone, in April, Zach Robba was fatally injured while swimming back to his charter vessel.

The Northern Territory is not prone to attacks but they have had a number of incidents.

Check out the complete list of Qld and NT shark attacks in our INTERACTIVE MAP below.
