QRL game cancelled after fears player exposed to Covid-19
A Rugby League game in Townsville has been cancelled after one of the players is feared to have been exposed to COVID-19.

An Intrust Super Cup Rugby League game has been cancelled over fears a player was exposed to Covid-19.
A statement from Queensland Rugby League said the Townsville Mendi Blackhawks game against the Ipswich Jets in Townsville will not go ahead this weekend.
“Due to a potential COVID-19 exposure within the Townsville Blackhawks, Queensland Rugby League has taken the precautionary steps to cancel this weekend’s matches in Townsville against the Ipswich Jets until further notice,” the statement read.
“Queensland Health is working directly with the Townsville Blackhawks on the situation.”
The player exposed is a Townsville based player.
The game was due to be played on Saturday afternoon at Jack Manski Oval in Townsville
It comes as a 17-year-old girl tested positive to Covid-19 on Friday.
