Attorney-General Shannon Fentiman has criticised Opposition Leader David Crisafulli for “failing to apologise” in the wake of the Crime and Corruption Commission’s release of its Investigation Workshop.
The probe from the corruption watchdog found the removal of laptops from the office of the Integrity Commissioner was not a raid – and to the contrary, was “entirely ordinary”.
Ms Fentiman pointed to the CCC’s report, which suggested commentary that laptops were “seized” as a result of a “raid” was a mischaracterisation of what occurred.
“The Opposition threw those words around over and over again,” she said. “It was deliberately wrong, and there was no integrity in that.”
Deputy LNP leader Jarrod Bleijie on Tuesday insisted the CCC’s report was not good for the government.
“For instance, it says there’s got to be governance change,” Mr Bleijie said.
“How many times does this government have to be told that the governance arrangements about the Integrity Commissioner’s office has to be changed?”
Mr Bleijie said he would not apologise.
