Question Time blog: Queensland Government to be grilled over health system
Health Minister Yvette D'Ath has come under fire as the state governments faces further scrutiny over Queensland's under-pressure health system. QUESTION TIME BLOG
Health Minister Yvette D'Ath is in the firing line today as the the state government faces another grilling about Queensland’s under-pressure health system during question time this morning.
The Opposition has hit the government with questions around elective surgery waiting lists, concerns about Caboolture Hospital and the independent inquiry into Mackay Base Hospital’s obstetrics and gynaecology services.
Ms D'Ath has corrected a statement she gave after question time yesterday that no doctor at Mackay Base Hospital had a reprimand on their file.
As she today explained two doctors had received demands, Opposition Leader David Crisafulli interjected: "It's reshuffle time".
It follows Ms D'Ath today publicly revealing that health staff refusing to be vaccinated against Covid will be booted from their workplaces and could face disciplinary action come Monday.
