Qld parliament blog: Health Minister apologises to rape victim after hospital’s treatment of her
A Queensland rape victim failed by a hospital when she sought help after her order has received an unreserved apology from the Health Minister.
A rape victim who sought help at Rockhampton Hospital in early August did not receive “timely compassionate trauma-informed care” she was entitled to and expected Health Minister Shannon Fentiman has said.
Ms Fentiman has “unreservedly apologised” to the woman for the ongoing impact the incident has had on her.
