Queensland’s Health Minister has been targeted by the Opposition over a number of issues, including gender affirming care and denials of escalating concerns at one of the state’s hospitals.
Queensland Health Minister Tim Nicholls is copping a lot of heat in parliament over the decision to ban gender affirming care, and secret documents revealing details of patients being left in the corridoers of Gladstone Hospital.
Opposition State Development Spokeswoman Grace Grace asked Mr Nicholls if he would stand down if it’s found he acted unlawfully by banning puberty blockers.
While Mr Nicholls has defended his and the Department of Health’s public assurances that no patients were left unattended in Gladstone Hospital’s emergency department.
