Fireworks tipped in ‘muck-up day’ parliament as nine MPs say goodbye

Premier Steven Miles has returned fire in a Question Time dominated by LNP attacks on Labor's record in youth crime, health and housing.

Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has kicked off the final question time before the state election by asking Steven Miles whether he would apologise to Queenslanders for 'weakening' youth justice laws.

The government was then bombarded with a series of questions about its record on crime, health and housing.

Nine MPs, including speaker and former minister Curtis Pitt, are now preparing to deliver their farewell speeches before exiting the house by choice.

Four LNP MPs and five Labor MPs will quit at the election, which is expected to be closer between Premier Steven Miles and Opposition Leader David Crisafulli than polling predicts.
