Public holiday traffic continues to worsen with huge delays facing motorists heading both north and south out of Brisbaner.
The Bruce Highway north to the Sunshine Coast has been heavily congested since 8am, with delays building to an hour for the stretch from Narangba to Landsborough.
Meanwhile, heading south is slowly getting busier throughout the day with the stretch between Roachdoal South and Helensvale experiencing 42-minute delays.
But traffic on the motorway seems to ease entirely after this.
