Protesters rally against Covid vaccines and lockdowns
Thousands of people have attended a protest against lockdowns and Covid-19 vaccinations in Brisbane’s CBD, with members of the media told “you’re the f***ing virus”.

Thousands of people have attended protest against lockdowns and Covid-19 vaccinations in Brisbane’s CBD this afternoon.
The group gathered in Brisbane Botanical Gardens from 11am before marching from Parliament House into the city.
The march kicked off just before 2:30pm where the crowd sung along to John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’.
The crowd chanted “They say wear a mask, we say no” and “wake up Australia, mass hysteria”.
Chants of “My body my choice” could be heard as the crowd marched down Adelaide St to loop back through Edward St into the park.
The “Freedom Rally” gathering is one of several protests planned in cities across Australia on Saturday.
A man at the rally yelled approached media crews filming the event chanting “propaganda” saying he didn’t want his children to “grow up as slaves”.
Other protesters were seen abusing members of the media, telling them “you’re the f***ing virus”.
Other protestors stood in between those berating the attending media and apologised for the situation.
A spokesperson addressed the crowd and instructed attendees not to speak to media.
Signs reading “end the lockdowns, open borders” and “Don’t believe the Covid-19 hoax pandemic” could be seen throughout the crowds.
Police crews were patrolling the crowds.
