Protesters have spray painted “Black Lives Matter” and “Justice for Aunty Sherry Tilberoo” on the road outside Brisbane City watch-house on Friday evening.
The protest comes after Indigenous woman Sherry Fisher-Tilberoo died of natural causes in the watch-house last Saturday.
Protests erupted in the City last Friday following the news of Ms Fisher-Tilberoo’s death, and have resumed this Friday.
About 300 people gathered in Brisbane’s King George Square.
Protesters holding banners which read “say their names” sat in the city’s square before their planned march, chanting “too many coppers not enough justice”.
After the sit-in protesters marched to the watch-house before moving on to Musgrave Park in South Brisbane.
Roads surrounding the route were closed as protesters chanted, “What do we want? Justice. When do we want it? Now.”
